Our club acquired 4 digital lane timing devices over the Christmas break to assist with our training. Each of our 4 squad lanes will now have their own dedicated clock sitting at the end of the pool which will make it easier to see the time during our training sessions. The clocks have a number of functions that Sue is learning about. A big thanks to our generous sponsor, Lucerne Investment Partners, for kindly donating the funds to enable this purchase. Thank you also to our team member, Jenny, who purchased the clocks while overseas and delivered them to us.
Coach Sue presenting our super-fish John Richards with his World Top 10 swimming cap for his 2023 rankings in the 200m, 400m, 800m & 1,500m freestyle (80–84 year-old division)! Well done John - you are an inspiration to all of us!
The Stingrays final swim of 2024 was held at Pambula pool on Sunday 22 December. It was a family fun day with members and their family and friends competing in a series of fun events organised by Head Coach Sue Keey. Examples of races included straight freestyle relays, noodle races, old English backstroke and top'n'tail!
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas! Enjoy the time with your family & friends.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025 for another fun year in the pool. Training resumes on Sunday 12 January 2025.

Our superstar Gail Milroy medalled in all 5 of her individual events (70-74 age group). Gail joined Stingrays 12 months ago & there is no stopping her. Gail is at every training session, trains hard & deserves her incredible results.
Thank you to Masters Swimming NSW and all the volunteers for putting on another brilliant event. Also a big thank you to our wonderful coach Sue for all her hard work coaching our team and putting on extra sessions to get us prepared and ready to race
A fun-filled morning on Sunday 17 December 2023 at the Stingray's Christmas Family HAG Novelty Event.
Lots of fun, laughter and some serious swims. You just can't stop the competitiveness in some people, even when they are swimming against their children and grandchildren!
We had 20 swimmers with the youngest being 9 and the oldest 76.
Events included:
Top and tails 50M, 4x 25M team relay, men's and women's open one lap dash, noodle race, old English backstroke lap, and the girls handicap dash.
Handicapping was applied and everyone had to choose their own handicap via selecting a lolly stick out of the bag. Times where then adjusted according to the handicap written on the stick eg. minus 2 seconds.
Everyone got a prize or three with sweets for all.
The winning family team "3 plus 1" consisting of grandmother Pat, her son Andrew and her grandchildren Tegwyn and Freya wearing their Christmas rashies. Well done!
The winners of each event were:
* Top and tails = Team "Big Mamma" aka Kerryn 63 and Jaxon 9
* 4 x 25 relay = Team "3 plus 1" aka, Pat 72, Andrew 46, Tegwyn 13 and Freya 11
* Men's open = Andrew 46
* Women's open = Taylor 23
* Noddle race = Tegwen 13
* Old English backstroke = Andrew 46
* Girl's race = Tegwen 13
Coach Sue & Kerryn of team "Big Mamma" :)
Thank you Sue for all your hard work in organising a wonderful event - much appreciated!
This is the Division 4 winners trophy for the MSNSW Short Course Championship 2023. It's awarded for the club with the most points across the smaller, mostly regional (divisions 4) clubs over the weekend of the championships.
Well, it's Ailie back at training with some of her teammates. Ailie was the lone Stingray at the championships the weekend the Division 4 trophy was won. She brought home 5 medals from 5 swims which gave The Stingrays the points necessary to secure the trophy. Well done Ailie.
